GOP to hold local candidate forum Saturday

FRANKLIN SPRINGS – The Franklin County Republican Party will hold a political forum April 30 from 9 am until noon at Franklin Springs City Hall. The event is co-sponsored by the Franklin County Farm Bureau.

‘Mary Poppins’ flies on stage tonight

CARNESVILLE – Beloved musical “Mary Poppins” will open tonight at the Telford Center for the Fine and Performing Arts at Franklin County High School. The show features Allie Rich as Mary Poppins, Jon Erik Tripp as Bert, Damian Dorn as Mr. Banks, Kate Roper at Mrs.
The Fun Day will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Royston Wellness and Community Park.

By Shane Scoggins Publisher   CARNESVILLE – An audit of finances for the Franklin-Hart Airport Authority will be referred to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. Franklin County Commission Chairman Jason Macomson said Tuesday that a draft audit report had been received.
