A county-wide talk with Jesus

CARNESVILLE — Pastors, local leaders and community members gathered on the Franklin County Courthouse grounds May 5 for the National Day of Prayer. The observance is held on the first Thursday of May each year, as designated by the United States Congress.

By Shane Scoggins Publisher   ROYSTON – The City of Royston will work with the consultant that worked on the county’s new Unified Development Code to revamp its own building, construction and subdivision regulations.

By Samantha Sinclair Staff Writer   LAVONIA — Ashton Cooper had a 4.0 when he graduated from Franklin County High School four years ago, and is once again graduating with a 4.0, this time from the University of Georgia on Friday.

Carnesville to open splash pad with Fun Day Saturday

CARNESVILLE – A fun day in the water will be held Saturday in Carnesville. The city will officially open its splash pad for the season with a Fun Day event Saturday from noon until 2 p.m. at Carnesville City Park.
