By Samantha Sinclair Staff Writer   CARNESVILLE — Franklin County Middle School is losing Principal C.J. Wilder, but he is gaining more time with his daughter. Wilder was hired as an assistant principal at Gainesville High School starting July 1.

ROYSTON – The City of Royston will celebrate Georgia Cities Week April 24-30. The city will hold a variety of events throughout the week, including a community planning session and a Fun Day at the Royston Wellness and Community Park.

LAVONIA – A Lavonia man was arrested Thursday on multiple drug charges. The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, Hart County Sheriff’s Office and the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office (ARDEO) conducted a search Thursday at 57 Wesleyan St. in Lavonia, a press release from the ARDEO said.

From staff reports   LAVONIA – Police are looking for a suspect in a robbery of Truist Bank Tuesday afternoon. According to Assistant Lavonia Police Chief Daniel Carson, a robbery occurred Tuesday shortly after 1 p.m. at the bank at 10 Silo Lane. Truist was formerly known as BB&T.
