CARNESVILLE – Two hundred thirty seven Franklin County High School seniors received diplomas Friday in front of a near capacity crowd at Ed Bryant Stadium.
The school’s 58th commencement ceremony featured student speeches by Valedictorian Chandler Coulter and Salutatorian Abby Strickland, along with an inspirational speech by Marlie Scoggins and welcome by Senior Class President Perrin Floyd. Franklin County School Superintendent Chris Forrer also addressed graduates.
Scoggins was also the recipient of the Emma Lee Burroughs Outstanding Senior Award, and Rhett Floyd won the Marty Harrison Williams Outstanding Senior Award.
Allie Rich sang The National Anthem, and Rich, Kate Roper, Eli Henry, Damian Dorn and Justin Clendenen led the singing of the Alma Mater played by the Franklin County High School band.
After graduation, family members and friends gathered on the field to take photos of and congratulate graduates.
