By Shane Scoggins Publisher   LAVONIA – Lavonia citizens deserve a voice on the city council that represents them, Harold Harbin said. “With your vote, I will be that voice,” he said. Harbin, who served on the council for 12 years previously, is running to return to council in the Post 3 seat.

From staff reports   LAVONIA – The First Lady of Lavonia has passed away. Margaret Ayers died Tuesday at the age of 96 at her home, Northeast Georgia Bank announced in a press release. “Margaret is a Lavonia institution,” Lavonia Mayor Courtney Umbehant said.
