McFarlin wants to be good listener, work diligently for city

By Shane Scoggins Publisher   CARNESVILLE – If elected to the Carnesville City Council on Nov. 7, first-time candidate Gabbie McFarlin said she gives citizens her word to be honest, transparent and receptive to suggestions, new ideas and concerns.

Festival brings fun, crafts to Royston

Downtown Royston was packed with people Saturday for the annual Royston Fall Festival. Vendors offered a variety of goods, crafts and food. Children had the chance to enjoy inflatables, games and face-painting.

Good crowd comes out for Taste of Lavonia

LAVONIA – The inaugural Taste of Lavonia brought food lovers to downtown Saturday.  The Lavonia Chamber of Commerce hosted the event, which included food tasting from restaurants in the community, beer and wine tasting and local vendors.
