County’s oldest veteran recalls service aboard Saratoga

By Gillian Raese Staff Writer   CARNESVILLE – Harold Jameson recently celebrated his 98th birthday. He believes he is the oldest living veteran in Franklin County. Jameson served in the U.S. Navy for three years during World War II. He was a gunner on the ship Saratoga that was bombed in 1945.
