Holiday on parade as Lavonia celebrates season
LAVONIA – The annual Lavonia Christmas Parade was held Sunday as floats, emergency vehicles, business entries, classic cars and horses all made their way from the area of city hall to the Silo Center. The Franklin County High School Marching Pride Band helped lead the parade, with Santa Claus making an appearance near the end of the line. Hundreds of people lined the parade route to wave and pick up candy thrown by parade entrants.
On Tuesday, he was at Chick-fil-A in Lavonia, where he met happy (and not so happy) boys and girls as part of a special event hosted by the restaurant.
