ROYSTON – The rain stopped for Royston to celebrate the holidays Saturday at the Royston Christmas Parade. Hundreds came out to line Highways 17 and 29 to watch floats, emergency vehicles, classic cars, Shriners and Santa Claus ride by while giving out candy and wishing everyone a Merry Christmas. A special attraction this year was a wagon pulled by a pair of Clydesdale horses
Rainy weather couldn’t stop folks in Royston and Canon from enjoying the Christmas season Saturday as the two cities held their annual Christmas parades. The Royston Parade (above) featured a pair of Clydesdale horses pulling a wagon along with the usual attractions of the season. For more photos from the Royston Parade, see Pages 6-7A. In Canon (left photo), despite showers, parade goers smiled, waved and picked up pounds and pounds of candy.
