Franklin cross country teams crack Top 10

By Shane Scoggins Publisher   Franklin County High School has two state top 10 teams in cross country. Both the Lions and Lady Lions were listed in the state rankings released last week by MileSplit Georgia.

Coach proud of Lions' effort in close loss to East Jackson

By Shane Scoggins Publisher   Better days are ahead for the Franklin County Lions football program. Though the team has struggled to an 0-5 start this season, Martin said the Lions must continue to push forward and focus on where it wants to be.

Lady Cubs honor eighth graders, finish second in region

The Franklin County Middle School volleyball team honored its eighth grade players during their last home game Sept. 7 against Habersham Middle School.    Both A and B teams ended the night with wins over Habersham. The A team won 25-13 and 25-19. The B team won 25-23 and 25-12.

Cubs stay unbeaten with win over Bullpups

The Franklin County Cubs picked up their third win of the year, beating archrival Hart County 12-8 Thursday in Carnesville. “This was a big win for us,” Coach Chuck Holland said.
