Cubs’ title shot

From staff reports   The Franklin County Middle School Cubs will play for the region football championship today at 6 p.m. at Jeff Davis Field at Ed Bryant Stadium. The Cubs will face Hart County for the title. It’s the second year in a row that FCMS will play for the NEGIAA championship.

Lady Lions face No. 1 Wesleyan in state opener

By Shane Scoggins Publisher   The Franklin County Lady Lions will travel to Norcross today to continue their efforts to make the state fastpitch softball Elite Eight in Columbus. Franklin goes into the state’s super regional as the No. 4 seed from Region 8AAA.

Lady Lions to seek Elite Eight in super regional

Volleyball squad on road for 8AAA tournament

By Shane Scoggins Publisher   The Franklin County Lady Lions volleyball team will travel to Dacula today to compete in the Region 8AAA tournament to earn a berth in the state playoffs. Franklin, the No. 6 team in the 8AAA standings, will face third-place Hebron Christian Academy at 5 p.m.

By Shane Scoggins Publisher   The trophy case in the Franklin County High School band room got a little more crowded Saturday. The Franklin County High School Marching Pride Band brought home five trophies and high ratings from the Blue Ridge Mountain Marching Festival in Fannin County.

Lions get week off before region's final stretch

By Shane Scoggins Publisher   The Franklin County Lions will have their final open week of the season Friday as they prepare for the final three Region 8AAA games of the season. There won’t be an easy game in the bunch, as the Lions host Hebron Christian Academy Oct.
