Lady Lions face three games in five days

By Shane Scoggins Publisher   Three games in five days will test the Franklin County Lady Lions in the next week. Franklin will travel to Commerce Friday for a rematch of a 44-36 Lady Lion win earlier this season.

Learning to compete: Lady Lions improving while picking up two wins

Lions face tough road test at 4th ranked Lanier

By Shane Scoggins Publisher   The toughest test of the season thus far for the Franklin County Lions will come Friday in Gwinnett County. The Lions will face the Lanier Longhorns at 7:30 p.m. at Lanier High School. Lanier is the No. 4 ranked team in Class AAAAAA, according to sandysspiel.com.

Lady Lions to host Commerce in home opener

Split start: Franklin boys open season 1-1

By Shane Scoggins Publisher   The Franklin County Lions split their first two games of the new basketball season. Franklin defeated Jackson County 70-47 in its season opener Thursday in Hoschton but fell 55-51 Monday to West-Oak in Westminster, S.C.

Dee Oliver signs to play baseball at Emmanuel

By Shane Scoggins Publisher   Dee Oliver is staying a Lion. The Franklin County High School senior signed Friday to play collegiate baseball for the Emmanuel College Lions. “I’m really excited about it. I’m ready to keep playing,” Oliver said during his signing ceremony.
