Franklin County Lions named to the GHSA’s All-State baseball team were Luke Beasley, Caden Cawthon, Easton Gailey and Keyes Harbin. Gailey (pictured) was named first team, while his teammates were second-team.

Franklin County High School won the 2025-26 Blitz Cup behind strong team performances throughout the school year, including an area title in wrestling, region championships in girls’ and boys’ track and a Final Four run by the Lady Lion volleyball team.

Eli Cooling was named the All-State team by the Georgia Athletic Coaches Association.

Willow Morgan was named first-team All-State for slow-pitch softball by website Coach Dooley’s List.

The Franklin Little League Coach Pitch Softball team remained undefeated in winning the Northeast Sectional Tournament over the weekend in Augusta.

The Franklin Little League Coach Pitch Softball team went undefeated to win the District 7 Championship Sunday in Elberton.
