Baseball makes Sweet 16

Lions on the road for first round

By Shane ScogginsPublisher The state playoffs will start a little differently this year for the Franklin County Lions.For the first time since 2018, the Lions will be on the road for the first round of the state tournament.The Lions will travel to Blairsville Friday to face Union County.

The team is coached by Cherokee Bell and Kendsey Chappelear.

Slow-pitch squad earns berth in championship bracket
