The Franklin County Lady Lions celebrate after finishing as runners-up in the Region 8AA volleyball tournament. Members of the team are Mia Altreche, Enslee Stowers, Molly Fitzgerald, Allison Carroll, Bryleigh White, Callie Frady, Chandler Johnson, Epiphany Mayfield, Sydney Carson, Kallie Thrift, Arrihanna Linder, Brooklyn Smith, Avery Burton and Brooklyn Smith. The team is coached by Amber Adams and Erin Burton.
The No. 5-ranked Prince Avenue Christian School Wolverines will come to Carnesville Friday to face the Lions with second place in the Region 8AA standings on the line.
The Lions and Lady Lions will host the Jan Taylor Invitational Oct. 16 beginning at 5 p.m. at the Bill Woods Pridelands Course on High Road near FCHS in Carnesville.
