By Shane ScogginsPublisher The Franklin County Lions had to wait a little longer than expected for its 2025 season opener.A lightning delay pushed back the start time for Friday’s game at Chestatee High School in Gainesville from a 7:30 p.m. kickoff to about 9 p.m.But the wait was worth it.
