LAVONIA – The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has made an arrest in connection with its investigation into the Lavonia Fire Department.  Shane Bentley, 41, of Lavonia was charged with four counts of theft by taking.

CARNESVILLE – Franklin County voters will have an opportunity to cast ballots Saturday for the June 9 primary. The special day of Saturday voting – to be held from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.

CARNESVILLE – Early in-person voting for the June 9 primary election will begin Monday. The Franklin County Elections and Registration office wil be open for voting from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday for early voting until June 5.
