The Franklin County Board of Elections and Registration voted on polling location changes Tuesday that will go into effect for the Nov. 3 elections. Pleasant Hill Baptist Church will be the home for the Northeast Franklin voting precinct, while the Royston Depot will be the polling place for the Royston Precinct. Early voting will be held at the former Carnesville Elementary School in downtown Carnesville. Lavonia city voters will vote at the Lavonia Community Center.

CARNESVILLE – Three regular polling places and the site for early voting will move for the Nov. 3 general election. The Franklin County Board of Elections and Registration decided Tuesday to move the voting places for early voting, the Northeast Franklin precinct and the Royston precinct.

FRANKLIN SPRINGS – The city of Franklin Springs has scheduled a special election for mayor in November. The election will fill the unexpired term of Lee Moore. In February, Moore announced he would run for the District 50 State Senate seat being vacated by John Wilkinson to run for Congress.
