By Shane Scoggins Publisher Franklin Fastpitch needed just three and a half innings Tuesday to finish of a victory in the team’s Region 8AA opener against East Jackson in Carnesville. Franklin won 16-2 as they dominated offensively and in the pitcher’s circle.

The Franklin County Lions opened the 2024 football season Friday with a close 27-21 loss to Chestatee at Jeff Davis Field at Ed Bryant Stadium. The game began with the recognition of football players and cheerleaders from the Franklin County Recreation Department, who lined up to welcome Keyes Harbin (No. 33) and his Lion teammates.

The season opener for the Lions will be this Friday at FCHS against the Chestatee War Eagles. High school adds boulder to campus in front of stadium

From staff reports CARNESVILLE – A new, rock solid tradition was delivered to Franklin County High School Saturday morning. Georgia Stone Products in Carnesville delivered a four-and-a-half ton boulder to the FCHS campus. The new stone was set up in an island in front of Ed Bryant Stadium.

Sliding into a season of change

By Shane Scoggins Publisher The 2024 season will be one of change for the Franklin County Lady Lions. While the program itself isn’t changing a lot, state reclassification and the changes it has brought will put Franklin Fastpitch in a much different atmosphere. Region 8AAA is gone.
