Franklin to host Bill Woods meets

Lady Lions make short work of East Jackson in Region 8AA opener

By Shane Scoggins Publisher   Franklin Fastpitch needed just three and a half innings Tuesday to finish of a victory in the team’s Region 8AA opener against East Jackson in Carnesville. Franklin won 16-2 as they dominated offensively and in the pitcher’s circle.

The game began with the recognition of football players and cheerleaders from the Franklin County Recreation Department, who lined up to welcome Keyes Harbin (No. 33) and his Lion teammates.

Dampened debut

Lions to host War Eagles in opener

By Shane Scoggins Publisher   The Franklin County Lions will welcome the Chestatee War Eagles to Jeff Davis Field at Ed Bryant Stadium for the 2024 football season opener Friday, with kickoff at 7:30 p.m. There are many similarities between the squads.

Franklin Fastpitch defends home field against trio of opponents
