Lady Lions host state playoffs

By Shane Scoggins Publisher   The state fast pitch softball playoffs began Wednesday for the Franklin County Lady Lions. Franklin hosted Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe in a doubleheader in the first round of the state playoffs. The Lady Lions were swept in both games and eliminated.

Lions to travel to Prince Avenue Friday

Finishing strong

By Shane Scoggins Publisher   The Franklin County Lady Lion volleyball team improved its state standing by winning seven of its last nine matches. Franklin will travel to Athens today to face Prince Avenue Christian at 6 p.m. in the first round of the Region 8AA Tournament.

Lady Cubs finish seasons in tournaments

The Franklin County Middle School volleyball and softball teams finished their seasons in NEGIAA region tournaments Saturday and Monday.  The Franklin County Middle School Lady Cubs volleyball team finished its season Saturday with a third-place finish in the NEGIAA Tournament in Elberton.
