By Shane Scoggins Publisher   Home court after a couple of days off turned out to be a great thing for the Franklin County Lions Tuesday. The Lions posted their biggest win of the season, 80-49 over Pendleton, S.C., at home Tuesday. “We needed that for sure,” Coach Jason Shaver said.

Beard signs to continue soccer career at Toccoa Falls

By Tanner Howard Correspondent   Franklin County Lady Lion Haleigh Beard accepted a soccer scholarship to Toccoa Falls College Thursday at a signing ceremony at Franklin County High School.  In her junior year, Beard had four goals for the Lady Lions and was named second-team All-Region 8AAA.

Franklin girls to face Valdosta in showcase

By Shane Scoggins Publisher   The Franklin County Lady Lions will face a big opponent Saturday in the North Oconee Showcase in Bogart. Franklin will face the Valdosta Lady Wildcats at noon in the showcase. Valdosta is 4-5 this season but plays in the state’s largest AAAAAA classification.
