RESOLUTION BY THE FRANKLIN COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR A MORATORIUM BARRING THE ACCEPTANCE OF APPLICATIONS FOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMITS FOR LARGE INDUSTRIAL USES PURSUANT TO THE ZONING REGULATIONS OF FRANKLIN COUNTY, GEORGIA
Zoning and permit applications submitted to Franklin County to allow the construction of a $70 million poultry rendering plant to make pet food ingredients were withdrawn last week by Pilgrim’s Pride but then resubmitted Tuesday just three hours before commissioners voted to impose a moratorium on such applications.
