By Shane Scoggins Publisher   CARNESVILLE – Franklin County commissioners plan to continue talking next month about future alcohol sales in the county.  But one commissioner made it clear he’s not for changing county laws to allow the sale of alcohol in the unincorporated areas.

By Shane Scoggins Publisher CARNESVILLE – A room full of Gumlog residents made it clear to Franklin County commissioners Tuesday that they don’t want their community to become a city. But, they would like the county to address several ongoing problems facing the area.

By Samantha Sinclair Staff Writer LAVONIA — Thousands of people are expected to gather at Lavonia Memorial Park behind city hall Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the second Lavonia Renaissance Festival. The park will be transformed into Camelot for the day, complete with a sword in a stone.

FCHS senior appointed to U.S. Naval Academy
