The 2019 Franklin County Lions football season kicks off Friday at 7:30 p.m. in The Reservation in Toccoa. The Lions will face one of their most familiar foes and biggest rivals, the Stephens County Indians, a squad that is looking to build off of a playoff appearance last season.

The Franklin County Lions football team will get their first taste of competition against another opponent Friday night. The Lions will travel to Commerce to take on the Tigers in a preseason scrimmage at 7:30 p.m.

Seniors Kalyn Jinks (sliding in safely during last year's state semifinals), Kaleigh Fowler and Jaden Cheek will be counted on for leadership as the Franklin County Lady Lions set out to defend their Class AAA state championship.

The Franklin County Lion and Lady Lion basketball teams will host rival Hart County tonight at FCHS in key Region 8AAA games for both teams.
