The 2019 Franklin County Lions football season kicks off Friday at 7:30 p.m. in The Reservation in Toccoa. The Lions will face one of their most familiar foes and biggest rivals, the Stephens County Indians, a squad that is looking to build off of a playoff appearance last season.

Lions to scrimmage Commerce Friday

The Franklin County Lions football team will get their first taste of competition against another opponent Friday night. The Lions will travel to Commerce to take on the Tigers in a preseason scrimmage at 7:30 p.m.

Fight for second title motivates

In one way, nothing has changed as the Franklin County Lady Lions head into the 2019 season. But then again, everything has changed. For the first time in the program’s history, the Lady Lions will go into a season as the defending state champions.

Lions, Bulldogs to meet tonight at FCHS

The Franklin County Lion and Lady Lion basketball teams will host rival Hart County tonight at FCHS in key Region 8AAA games for both teams.

Statewide honors

The Class AAA State Championship Trophy isn’t the only hardware the Franklin County Lady Lions softball team has collected this season. Postseason state honors are pouring in for members of the team and the program as a whole.
