Boat Expo Saturday in Lavonia

By Samantha Sinclair Staff Writer   LAVONIA — The Lavonia Boat Expo will return to downtown Saturday. The event will be March 12 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on East Main Street in front of the gazebo. Update: The expo was postponed to March 19 due to forecasted weather conditions.

Family Expo March 12 in Royston

ROYSTON – The Royston Housing Authority will hold a Family Expo March 12 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the authority office at 216 Hartwell St. in Royston. The event is free. Music, face painting, a jump house, free haircuts, prizes, raffles and healthy snacks will all be available at the event.
The county will offer a free dump day Saturday.

By Shane Scoggins Publisher   CARNESVILLE – Franklin County commissioners gave final approval Monday to a local vaping law. The new law is intended to give school resource officers more ways to deal with vaping by students 17 and older at the high school.

Cato wins Ark fundraising raffle
