By Samantha Sinclair Staff Writer   Easter’s on its way, so cities are hosting events for families to meet the Easter bunny and enjoy egg hunts. • Carnesville. Carnesville is kicking off the season with its egg hunt Saturday at 2 p.m. in Carnesville City Park.

Lavonia Police to provide ID kits to LES students

By Samantha Sinclair Staff Writer   LAVONIA — Parents can expect their Lavonia Elementary students to bring home an important tool on April 11. That day, Lavonia police officers will visit the school to hand out fingerprint identification kits and give students junior officer badges.
The sale will be at the Franklin County High School greenhouses.

Annual ag department plant sale begins Friday

The Franklin County Agriculture Department will hold its annual Spring Plant Sale Friday and Saturday. This year's sale will be April 1 from 1:30-5:30 p.m. and April 2 from 8 a.m. until noon and 1-3 p.m. The sale will be at the Franklin County High School greenhouses.

LAVONIA – The Lavonia Elementary School Color Run 5K and Fun Run Saturday drew 39 5K Runners aging from age 6-67.  There were an additional 20 Fun Run runners.  The event was sponsored by LA Heating and Air, St.
