Lavonia to host third annual clean up day

By Samantha Sinclair Staff Writer   Lavonia — City residents will have the opportunity to get rid of old furniture, toilets, appliances and other household trash items at the city’s free clean-up day Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the city shop at 33 Allen Farm Road.

Historic Fall Festival Saturday

CARNESVILLE – The Franklin County Historical Society will host a Historic Fall Festival Oct. 29 starting at 10 a.m. at Carnesville City Park. The day will be filled with activities, demonstrations and contests, including a pumpkin carving contest. Contests require an entry fee to participate.
