Franklin County and Carnesville are working on a deal for the city to sell its water and sewer systems to the county.

The City of Royston is looking at about $5 million in repairs and renovations to its water and sewer systems.

The late Chris Forrer's family and members of the Franklin County School System attended an awards ceremony last week where Forrer was posthumously awarded the Pioneer in Education Award by Pioneer RESA.

A special election will be held next year – likely in March – to fill the District 4 seat on the Franklin County Board of Commissioners.
