FCHS pair make All-State Band

Lions shave manes to support cancer fight

By Christy Dodd Special to the Citizen Leader   CARNESVILLE – The Franklin County Varsity baseball team, along with their coaches and families, honored two brave women Feb. 26 who are currently battling breast cancer.

Franklin County commissioners voted Friday to opt out of a new floating homestead exemption that will cap property assessments at the rate of inflation.  But the Georgia General Assembly is still working on a way to address concerns about the exemption.
