By Charlie Eavenson Staff Writer   CARNESVILLE – The Franklin County Board of Education is mulling over whether or not to opt out of a new law that would cap property reassessments at the rate of inflation.
ROYSTON – More than 100 past and current students and faculty members attended the Panther Walk at the old Royston Elementary School Sunday. Everyone who has ever attended elementary or high school in Royston was invited to wander the halls one last time, chat with old classmates and teachers and to find their picture in old yearbooks. From staff reports   ROYSTON – Current and past students of Royston Elemementary School and alumni of Royston High School were invited for a final walk through the school’s halls Sunday. The Franklin County School System hosted the Panther Walk Sunday afternoon.

From staff reports   CLEVELAND – Retired agriculture teacher and current Franklin County Board of Education member Gary Minyard was named a Pioneer in Education Nov. 1 at a ceremony at Cenita Vineyards near Cleveland.

By Shane Scoggins Publisher   CARNESVILLE – Former President Donald Trump overwhelmingly carried Franklin County Tuesday on the way to winning Georgia and the national race for U.S. President. Trump won 10,355 votes (86.3 percent) in Franklin County. Statewide, Trump won 50.
