Festival season begins

By Shane Scoggins Publisher   ROYSTON – Qualifying will open Monday in a special election for a seat on the Royston City Council. Candidates may sign up to run for the Post 2 seat Sept. 13-15 from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. at Royston City Hall.
Overall, the cities reported an increase in population of 232 residents from the 2010 count.
