By Samantha Sinclair Staff Writer   When Charity Henry woke up from surgery, the doctor put his hand on her arm. He told her they tested the lump he removed from her breast, and it was cancerous. For a split second, Henry was almost devastated.

By Shane Scoggins Publisher   ROYSTON – City Manager Ed Andrews told the Royston City Council Tuesday that he plans to retire. “I’ve given seven years, the best I can give them,” Andrews said Wednesday morning. Andrews said he made his decision because he wants to focus on his family.

By Samantha Sinclair Staff Writer   LAVONIA — Police Chief Bruce Carlisle shined his bright smile all over Lavonia Memorial Park Saturday as families participated in Faith and Blue Weekend.
Troy Construction applied to have 15.44 acres at 633 Neal Road rezoned from agriculture intensive to light industrial in order to use the property as storage for the company’s equipment and storage. The property sits along the interstate, but is only accessed by Neal Road.
