FRANKLIN SPRINGS – Former Emmanuel College athletic director and men’s basketball coach Jim Ganey was inducted to the school’s Hall of Fame in ceremonies during halftime of Saturday’s men’s game against Francis Marion.

Before coming to Emmanuel, Ganey coached high school basketball in South Carolina, amassing a 78-33 record at North Myrtle Beach High School.

In addition to his coaching and athletic director duties while at Emmanuel, Ganey also served as endowment director, overseeing increases in gifts and grants to the college during his tenure.

After Saturday’s game, Ganey was honored with a reception.

Both the ceremony and reception were attended by a great number of former players who had photos taken with their coach and spent time talking with him.
