Overdose leads to murder indictment

CARNESVILLE – A Franklin County grand jury has indicted a man on felony murder and other charges for providing fentanyl to a man who died in June.

The annual fall festival will now be held Oct. 15, from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. in downtown Canon.

Hiram man killed in I-85 accident

LAVONIA – A Hiram man was killed Monday in a single-vehicle accident on I-85.
James Allen Hardin, 19, of Hiram was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident near mile marker 172 on I-85 northbound.
Georgia State Patrol troopers were dispatched around 6:47 a.m.
