CARNESVILLE – Missy Holbrook took her oath of office as the next mayor of Carnesville Thursday in ceremonies at the Franklin County Courthouse. Holbrook was sworn in by Northern Judicial Circuit Superior Court Judge Jeffrey Malcom.

CARNESVILLE – Seven members of the Franklin County High School Band earned District Honor Band placements after auditions Saturday. The students were chosen out of 720 students from 35 schools in Northeast Georgia who auditioned. FCHS had 12 total students who auditioned.
On Tuesday, he was at Chick-fil-A in Lavonia, where he met happy (and not so happy) boys and girls as part of a special event hosted by the restaurant.
