Gardeners begin harvesting fruits – and vegetables – of labors

Connie Cowart says she caught the gardening bug from her grandfather who continued growing things well into his 80’s. This week she was pleased to see that her silver queen corn has finally shown signs of silk on the ears. Cowart and other Franklin County gardeners shared their stories in light of “National Weed Your Garden Day” last week.
