Carnesville to vote on alcohol sales expansion

By Shane Scoggins Publisher   CARNESVILLE – Carnesville city voters will decide in November on whether to expand alcohol sales to Sundays and for package sales of liquor. Three referendum questions will be included on the city’s Nov. 2 election ballot.

ROYSTON – Downtown Royston will host two events tonight. A monthly Artisan Walk and a gospel music singalong will both be held. The third Thursday Artisan Walk will be held downtown today from 5-7 p.m.

After 33 years, Murphy finally makes it to retirement

By Samantha Sinclair Staff Writer   CARNESVILLE — There’s something Anna Murphy has been telling coworkers for the past few months. “You look back on things, and you don’t know how good you had it until it’s gone,” she said.
