Deadline near for conservation tax easements

By Samantha Sinclair Staff Writer   CARNESVILLE — About 170 property owners have not reapplied for tax savings they are entitled to for the purpose of keeping agricultural land from being converted to other uses.

By Samantha Sinclair Staff Writer   Royston — Robyn Moon is a “behind the scenes kind of girl.” She waited until the last minute to retire from Royston Elementary School, turning in her retirement letter on the last day of May, and making her retirement effective June 1.

Royston retires after 60 years at drug stores

By Samantha Sinclair Staff Writer   ROYSTON — When she was 14 years old, Gail Royston started working at Wray’s Drug Store. After 60 years in the business, she retired from Royston Drug Store this month, where she worked as a pharmacy tech.

Raises budgeted for teachers
