Three Franklin County commissioners issued a statement last week to clarify their relationship with a lawyer hired to represent them.

The Canon City Council had the second reading of, and passed, an ordinance to update its building permit guidelines and to establish a schedule of permit fees.

A hearing on a variance request by Franklin County Commission Chairman Courtney Long and her family will be heard in January.
