Home opener delayed a week by lightning

UPDATE: The Franklin County/Habersham Central football game has been confirmed for Sept. 2y.

A thunderstorm brought heavy rain to Ed Bryant Stadium and lightning to the area Friday.

At first the game against Habersham Central was delayed, and then, not long after, it was put off altogether.

Franklin County officials decided to call off the game and reschedule it for Sept. 27.
