School tax hike draws critics

A proposal to raise the property tax rate for schools drew criticism at the first of three  public hearings scheduled by the Franklin County Board of Education to discuss the increase. A second millage public hearing will be held on Aug. 11 at 8 a.m., with a third Aug. 11 at 5:30 p.m.
