ROYSTON – The annual Royston Fall Festival will return to downtown Saturday for a day-long celebration of the season.

The festival will be held from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. along Railroad Street and Bowers Street downtown.

Royston MainStreet Director Michael Crump said that as of Tuesday, 84 vendors had signed up to sell food, arts and crafts or give out information during the festival.

Among that group are several vendors who have never been to the festival before, he said.

A children’s play area with inflatables will be a part of the festival.

Entertainment during the day will include two dance teams and a concert by gospel group New Vision from 2-4 p.m.

The Legends of Destiny Band will perform beginning at 7 p.m.

Legends of Destiny plays Southern rock and country music.

The band’s concert will take the festival up to the annual fireworks show after dark.

Crump said one change has been made to the festival this year: pets are no longer allowed.

Service dogs are still welcome, but pets have been disallowed after some issues with dogs fighting during last year’s event, Crump said.
