Royston, Lavonia and Canon will welcome little ghouls and goblins later today.

All three cities will hold Halloween events Oct 31.

• Lavonia.

Lavonia Main Street, the Downtown Development Authority, and the Lavonia Police Department will be sponsoring the annual Downtown Halloween Carnival Oct. 31 from 3-6 p.m.  

The event will be held at the American Legion building at 12221 Augusta Road due to the forecasted thunderstorms.   

All activities are free and will include Twister the Clown’s Halloween Magic Show, inflatables, carnival games, dancing with DJ Flash, photo booth, a cupcake walk, and lots of candy and treats.

There is no charge to set up a table, game or booth. For those wishing to sell treats or seasonal items, a table may be set up for a $25 vendor fee.

• Royston.

Royston will have trick-or-treating with Royston Downtown Merchants at the depot Oct. 31 from 4-6 p.m.

A costume contest will be held at 6 p.m.

• Canon.

The city of Canon DDA will hold trick-or-treating in Parke House at the City Park on Oct. 31 beginning at 6 p.m.

Those interested in handing out candy should be in the park before 5:30 p.m. for set up.

There is no application or fee, it is free of charge to everyone. Those planning to attend should message the city’s Facebook page at City of Canon.
