CARNESVILLE – The Tour of North Georgia brought around 200 bicycle racers to Franklin County High School Sunday for competition in a USA Cycling sanctioned race. The cyclists raced on a 14-mile course from FCHS to High Road to Stone Bridge Road, then Grady School Road, Muddy Branch Road, Muddy Branch Court, then back to Muddy Branch Road, onto Unawatti Road, Highway 327, Jackson Bridge Road, and finally Highway 145 to the school. Races in multiple divisions based on skill level and age were held. Organizers announced Sunday that they plan to return in 2023.
