LAVONIA – The inaugural Taste of Lavonia brought food lovers to downtown Saturday. The Lavonia Chamber of Commerce hosted the event, which included food tasting from restaurants in the community, beer and wine tasting and local vendors. Downtown businesses were also open late, a job fair was held and a kid zone was available for children. Food samples were provided by at host of Lavonia restaurants, which festival goers obtained by buying tickets before the event. Business sponsors were St. Mary’s Sacred Heart Hospital, Franklin Package and H&R Block.
