Color Run crowns winners

    LAVONIA – The Lavonia Elementary School Color Run 5K and Fun Run Saturday drew 39 5K Runners aging from age 6-67.  There were an additional 20 Fun Run runners.  The event was sponsored by LA Heating and Air, St. Mary's Sacred Heart Hospital of Lavonia, Lavonia Animal Hospital and Stratton and Sons Construction Inc. Overall winners were Teague Pierce in the female division and Shawn Carter in the male division. First-place female age group winners were Paisley Browning, Elizabeth Stratton, Teague Pierce, Leanna Clark, Mallory Ream, Noel Pauley, Nikki Gibson, Kathryn Powell and Karen Swaan. First-place male age group winners were Asa Dodson, Christian Flanagan, Brady Simms, James Horton and Shawn Carter. Fun run winners were Silas Purdy in first place, Reese Isbell in second place and Tucker Andrews in third place.
