CARNESVILLE – Franklin County residents can get rid of unwanted trash and junk Saturday.
The county government is offering a free dump day Saturday from 8 a.m. until noon at the county transfer station at 4542 Harrison Bridge Road in Carnesville.
Garbage and unwanted items will be accepted, with an additional cost for tires.
Toxic materials, brush trees, batteries, motor oil containers, paint cans and boats will not be accepted.
The county also does not recycle paper.
Residents taking part in the free dump day must provide proof of identification and county residency.
Convenience centers will be closed Friday in preparation for the free dump day.
