Royston and Lavonia will offer major events this weekend.
Royston will hold its annual fall festival, while Lavonia will host its second Faith and Blue Weekend.
• Royston Fall Festival.
The Royston Fall Festival will be held Saturday in downtown Royston around the train depot.
The annual event draws thousands of people to the city each fall.
The festival will feature a variety of arts and crafts vendors, food booths and entertainment, including children’s activities.
The Second Time Around Band will close the festival with a free concert of hit songs from the 1960s, 70s and 80s from 6:30-8 p.m.
There will be no fireworks show this year.

• Faith and Blue Weekend.
Lavonia faith leaders and law enforcement officers invite the public to participate in National Faith and Blue Weekend Oct. 9-10.
There will be a Party in the Park event Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Lavonia Memorial Park behind city hall.
Law enforcement officers will also take part in services at participating churches Sunday.
At the park event, there will be food, inflatables, and live music.
The free event will provide a time of fellowship between the officers and the community.
Officers from the Georgia State Patrol, Motor Carrier Compliance Division, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and other local law enforcement agencies have been invited to participate.
Near the start of the event, the Georgia State Patrol helicopter will land on the field behind Pinnacle Bank, and will remain throughout the event on display for kids to look at.
District 2 Public Health will provide COVID-19 vaccinations to those interested at the event.
The final weekend of Savannah River Productions’ “Camelot” will also be on stage this weekend.
Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Savannah River Productions theater in Lavonia.
Tickets are $20 for adults and $5 for students.
