CARNESVILLE – The 2021 high school football season begins Aug. 20. Preparations are well under way. New Franklin County Lion Head Coach Parker Martin (above) worked Sunday to paint the goal posts at Ed Bryant Stadium. Martin and his Lions have been undergoing summer workouts and will begin official practice Monday. The Franklin County Marching Pride band is also on the field. The high school band and auxiliary is finishing up two weeks of band camp to prepare their 2021 show. The annual Franklin Friday Nights football, band and cheerleading preview section will be published Aug. 19 in the Franklin County Citizen Leader.
