CARNESVILLE – Girl Scout Troop 12821 recently learned about being a detective from Franklin County Sheriff’s Office Investigators David Cochran and Desiree McAdams.

The investigators explained the different types of careers that are available in the criminal investigative division of law enforcement.

The Girl Scouts learned how investigators gather clues from a crime scene and how they use different resources to gather information on suspects.

The investigators led the troop through some practical work with fingerprint analysis and a mock investigation into a robbery during the Girl Scout meeting.

Sheriff Stevie Thomas made a special visit to introduce himself to the girls and let them know how his team protects them and the community.
