A canon boomed sound and smoke Saturday to start the races at the Franklin County Invitational.
The fans came.
The teams began to warm up.
But the 2019 Franklin County football home opener set for Friday night at Ed Bryant Stadium was not meant to be.
After two games on the road and a week off, the Franklin County Lions are coming home.
The football team will hold its home opener tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Ed Bryant Stadium.
